Car Rental Terms & Conditions
Customers booking through Yolzz are subject to the following general terms. Individual suppliers may apply variations; detailed conditions are displayed on the vehicle page at the time of booking.
1. Age and Driving Licence Requirements
- Minimum age: 21 years (25 or 28 for certain vehicle groups)
- Driving licence: At least 1 year of valid licence (3–5 years for luxury and SUV groups)
- International guests: An International Driving Permit (IDP) or a certified driving licence with official translation is required
2. Payment and Deposit
- A credit card is required at the time of booking.
- Deposit: A pre-authorisation of 2,000–15,000 TL is placed on your card, depending on vehicle class.
- The deposit is released following a damage-free return (bank processing time: 3–10 days).
- Deductions may be made from the deposit in the event of damage, traffic fines or insufficient fuel.
3. Insurance and Coverage
- Mandatory third-party liability: Included with all vehicles.
- Basic collision coverage: Included in the standard package; excess of 500–3,000 TL applies.
- Super Cover (Comprehensive Coverage): Reduces excess to zero; available as a paid add-on.
- TGW (Tyre, Glass & Windscreen): Not included in standard coverage; a separate package is recommended.
4. Mileage Limit
- Standard packages: 300 km/day or unlimited mileage (varies by supplier)
- Long-term rentals: 3,000–5,000 km per month
- Excess mileage: additional charge of 3–8 TL per km
5. Fuel Policy
- Full-to-Full: Standard policy — return the vehicle with the same fuel level as collected.
- Full-to-Empty: Available with some suppliers; fuel cost is charged upfront.
- Insufficient fuel will incur an additional charge of 40–60 TL per litre, plus a service fee.
6. Additional Driver
- Adding an additional driver is free of charge or carries a low fee with some suppliers (30–60 TL/day).
- The additional driver must also meet the age and driving licence requirements.
7. Cross-Border Travel
Taking Turkish-registered rental vehicles abroad is generally not permitted. Some suppliers may allow travel to neighbouring countries for an additional fee and international insurance cover; please confirm with the supplier before booking.
8. Traffic Fines and Motorway Tolls (HGS)
- All traffic fines are the responsibility of the renter and will be deducted from the deposit.
- HGS/OGS motorway toll charges are billed by the supplier after the rental period ends.
- Unpaid toll penalties are charged at 3–4 times the original amount.
9. Pick-up and Return Hours
- Airport offices: open 24/7
- City offices: generally 08:00–20:00 (varies by supplier)
- Late return: up to 1 hour is tolerated; beyond that, a full additional day is charged
10. Cancellation Policy
- More than 48 hours before pick-up: 100% refund
- 48–24 hours before pick-up: 50% deduction
- Less than 24 hours before pick-up: generally non-refundable
- With a "Flexible Cancellation" package: free cancellation up to 1 hour before pick-up
